Tallinn's #1 terrace builder

Terraces we have built and maintained

  • Licensed and insured
  • 100% satisfaction guarantee
  • Every job numbered; 1,456 by the end of 2025
  • A builder carries a decking board across a partly laid timber terrace, with the bare frame in front. We leave a temporary walkway by the terrace door during construction.
  • Low-angle view of the grey Terrassiehitus Tallinn office façade and white sign. The office and warehouse site was purchased in 2013.
  • The Terrassiehitus Tallinn team in blue shirts and beanies outside a grey building; crew leaders mark pile positions on site from the survey plan.
  • A white Terrassiehitus Tallinn van and trailer parked on paving beside a mesh fence; the Peetri warehouse trailer delivered 1,384 load-bearing beams to sites in 2025.
  • A builder fits a grey composite board outside a house. Rubber tape beneath the decking helps reduce footstep noise.

Six projects with itemised prices

Every construction quote lists the foundation separately, so piles or blocks are not hidden in the square-metre price. Each job also has a work-log number: the first terrace in 2008 was number 1, and the final job of 2025 was number 1,456.

  • New pink-orange larch terrace outside glass doors on a sandy site. A perimeter board will conceal the decking ends.

Larch terrace on screw piles in sand

Site: Pringi, Viimsi Parish, near the Viimsi Open Air Museum. Job number: 1,402.

A 40 m² Siberian larch terrace with 28 mm decking and 18 screw piles. The test pile had not reached target torque at 1.5 m in the sand, so all 18 piles received a 1 m extension.

    Construction price: larch decking 40 m² × €140 = €5,600; screw piles 18 × €55 = €990; extensions 18 × €47 = €846. Total €7,436.

Construction time: five working days on site in 2025.

  • Grey composite terrace behind a new light-grey house. Falling barbecue coals can melt marks into composite decking.

    Composite terrace on new-build fill

Site: Jüri, Rae Parish, near Rae Upper Secondary School. Job number: 1,497.

A 32 m² grey composite terrace on a timber frame with concealed clips and 15 screw piles. Every pile had a 1 m extension, taking its helix to 2.5 m beneath the fill.

    Construction price: composite decking 32 m² × €149 = €4,768; screw piles 15 × €55 = €825; extensions 15 × €47 = €705. Total €6,298.

Construction time: five working days on site in 2026.

  • Partly lifted grey decking reveals new galvanised pile heads beneath the beams. Crushed stone fills the old block holes.

Levelling a heaved terrace with screw piles

Site: Saue, near Saue Music School. Job number: 1,236.

A 20 m² pine terrace stood on ground-level concrete blocks and had heaved at one corner. We replaced nine blocks with screw piles, refitted sound decking and replaced six rotten boards.

    Construction price: levelling 9 supports × €120 = €1,080; screw piles 9 × €55 = €495; replacement decking 6 × €18 = €108. Total €1,683.

Construction time: 2 working days in 2024.

  • Timber carport beside a rendered house, with posts on concrete bases. The Harju County Museum occupies Keila Manor's main building.

Two-car carport with a building notice

Site: Keila, near Keila Manor. Job number: 1,357.

A 36 m² (6 × 6 m) timber-frame carport on nine posts. The roof falls 1.5 cm per metre away from the house, and one post has a cable duct for an electric-vehicle charger. Our office submitted the building notice and design, followed by a notice of use after completion.

    Construction price: carport 36 m² × €235 = €8,460; post foundations 9 × €90 = €810. Total €9,270; the construction design is quoted separately.

Construction time: four working days on site in 2025.

  • Small treated-pine terrace on concrete blocks above limestone. Roofing felt between block and beam stops moisture wicking into the timber.

Pine terrace on blocks over limestone

Site: Maardu, near Maardu Manor. Job number: 1,478.

An 18 m² treated pine terrace on 12 concrete blocks. We excavated to the limestone, placed a crushed-stone bed under each block and supported the blocks directly on the rock.

    Construction price: treated pine terrace 18 m² × €108 = €1,944; block foundations 12 × €65 = €780; excavation and crushed stone 1 m³ × €17 = €17. Total €2,741.

Construction time: five working days on site plus seven days for concrete curing in 2026.

  • Freshly oiled honey-coloured pine terrace with a brush and oil can on the step. A round brush reaches gaps between railing slats.

Sanding and oiling a weathered pine terrace

Site: Kloostrimetsa, Tallinn, near Tallinn Botanic Garden. Job number: 1,259.

A 36 m² pine terrace and 12 linear metres of railing: washing, drying, sanding with 80- and 120-grit paper, then two coats of oil four hours apart.

    Maintenance price: washing and drying 36 m² × €2.70 = €97.20; sanding and oiling 36 m² × €20 = €720; railing oiling 12 linear m × €6 = €72; total €889.20.
